Engraving, 2½ Axis
Engraving allows you to select open or closed regions to engrave. In addition to 2D regions, 3D regions can also be chosen. Multiple depths can also be specified for better control of the engraving operation. This method is especially suited for engraving text and logos to part geometry. Unlike the 3 Axis Curve Machining methods, the cutter is not projected to the surfaces below. It merely follows the specified regions.
