Facing, 2½ Axis
Facing is a method of generating planar toolpaths using regions as the part geometry limits. In Facing, the 3D part geometry model is not considered in the toolpath generation. The the outermost region is used to construct a virtual 3D stock geometry model that has the same shape as the region with vertical walls spanning from the region down to the bottom Z level. The toolpath begins at the top Z value and stops at the bottom Cut Level you define. If no regions are selected, the outer boundary of the current stock definition is used.
