Curve Projection Machining, 5 Axis
This method is typically used for trimming blow molds and sheet metal dies. Here you select one or more drive curves to control the initial cutter locations. These curves will be projected onto the Drive surfaces and the tool axis is derived from the projection points on the drive surfaces. The tool positions will then be modified according to gouge checking on the part surfaces.
